Residential Supports

The Arc of Davidson County manages four group homes throughout Lexington. During the day, residents are employed in the community, involved in community activities, or in a prevocational work setting. In the afternoon residents return home where Direct Support Professionals offer the support and guidance needed for community living. Individual goal plans are developed and implemented with each resident to attain their highest level of independence. Goal plans include areas such as cooking, personal hygiene, social skills, budgeting, and constructive leisure activities.

Supports are individually base and can include:

  • Supervised Living
  • Individual Habilitation Plan
  • Training in areas of Independent Living
  • Self-Advocacy
  • 24 hour case management services
  • Professional staff
  • Transportation for medical and personal needs
  • Money management assistance and training
  • Vocational/employment assistance
  • Activities involving community inclusion
